TRANSPARENCY
This looping animation was made for the group exhibition “Baltian Tyttäret” which took place in 4.-25.11.2016 in the cultural center Caisa, Helsinki.
CAUGHT IN A MOMENT
The project “Kiinni hetkessä” explored the nature of creativity. The purpose of this project was to find various positive ways of promoting creativity, both at the individual and group levels. The project combined different artistic practices such as drawing, animation, and performance.
It was carried out in collaboration with Tyttöjen Talo in 2016. “Kiinni hetkessä” was primarily aimed at young women and girls.
BOUND-IN-TENSION
Bound -In -Tension is a participatory animated video installation-performance. This artwork combines animated video projection with performance. The video contains slightly moving drawings that are gradually appearing and disappearing on paper. By making this transition between images, I aim to create the visual representation of states of being. By projecting video on the canvas these states are combined with the elements of performance. The image is in constant state of change, participants add their drawings on top of the projection. Temporality helps me to approach my drawings from a different perspective.

CABINET
“Cabinet” is a multichannel video installation. The installation is built by using three monitors that are arranged vertically and placed into a covered rectangle box. Mannequin body parts are animated separately by using experimental animation techniques. The three-dimensional volume creates an impression of animated sculpture, an illusion of the magicians box where the female assistant steps into.
This installation was exhibited in “Media Art Up! Kaapelitehdas, Helsinki, 2014
THE NATURE OF CHANGE
From forests to capital cities, humans change their environment according to specific needs. Many of these changes are made with an eye to short-term financial profit. The Nature of Change was born from a tree cut down. In which an abstracted urban city is carved. Nevertheless, the tooth of time will inevitably decompose the city and the stories within it.

CITY CANVAS
Originally conceived as an animated walking tour, “City Canvas” was a nomadic urban light performance easily adaptable to various environments with mobile projectors. The projected animations interact with each other and city surfaces, resulting in a playful mix of characters and symbols. By projecting only ephemeral, fleeting traces, the project makes a commentary on the illegal status of graffiti and free speech.
“City Canvas” was a collaboratory project made by Albert Laine, Leena Jääskeläinen, Janne Parviainen, Hannu Huhtamo and Kristina Laine.

MASTER AND MARGARITA
The interpretation of Mikhail’s Bulgakov’s novel “Meistras ir Margarita” as an animated short film. The technique of the animation is painting on glass. It was very engaging to experiment and to see how painting technique could be applied to create moving images in a form of narrative,
